Standardized Testing
ACT/SAT: Required (by many 4-year colleges and universities) for admission. Students are encouraged to take the ACT/SAT at the end of their junior year or during their senior year. They may retake the test as many times as they would like. Students should check with individual colleges as to which test(s) to take.

Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (formerly Iowa Assessments): These tests, mandated by the federal government, are administered to 9th-11th graders in March or April of each year. Results are used to monitor academic performance and in some cases, determine appropriate class placement. Students intending to take classes through PSEO/Concurrent enrollment with Wartburg and/or Hawkeye must be proficient on Iowa Assessments.
